Ali - Senior - Smithson Valley High School

Ali and I spent the afternoon together yesterday to take her senior pictures. She will be attending Texas A&M in the fall. (I know that will make you happy, Abby.) The wind was crazy here and made it interesting. Felt like we were in Lubbock minus the dirt. Thanks for spending the afternoon with me Ali.

Sloan Family

My good friend Beth was in town for the weekend. She, Erick and Sloan spent the night with us Thursday night and Friday morning the girls headed to the outlets. We spent most of the day shopping and had a great time. We also found some great deals. Sloan was a perfect angel while we shopped. She actually slept through most of the shopping.

Beth's uncle has a beautiful place near Dripping Springs. The river runs through his property and it is breathtaking. Beth invited us out on Saturday to party with her family and take some pictures. Beth's mom, Cheryl, recently got married and the family was having a party. We had a great time hanging out with wonderful friends, eating delicious food, toasting Cheryl and John and I got some really great pictures.

Happy Birthday Sweet Caroline!

Caroline is 6 today. Wow! She is growing up so fast. She is my favorite little girl of all time and these are the reasons why.

1. We talk on the phone. I love talking on the phone and could talk to her for hours. She is getting to the point where she can talk for hours.

2. She is learning so much in school. She has to write a few sentences everyday. I have to beg her to write about me. She will agree, but not without some sort of bribe. I don't mind at all.

3. She is seriously the funniest. The other day I asked her if she had written about me at school and her reply was, "not exactly."

4. James has created this game with Caroline and John where he puts them in a laundry basket and "flies" them around. They call it the rocket. James tells Caroline she has to have a permit to ride in the rocket. She calls it a permanent. James corrects her every time, but it doesn't phase her a bit. She calls it a permanent every time and laughs.

5. She loves Tech softball and has tons of questions. Next we are moving to Tech football. By the end of next season I hope she is hooked on Red Raider Football.

6. Caroline is so much like me as a child it is sometimes scary. I know it scares Ann a lot to think she is raising me. I love it. It is like seeing my childhood all over again.

Happy Birthday Caroline. You are the smartest, prettiest, funniest girl I know and James and I love you tons!

A Little Crazy Around Here!

Things are a tad bit crazy around here. Actually, I feel like they are CRAZY! For me this is a three day week and I have enough to do to fill up two weeks. Hopefully everything goes just as planned so that I can get everything done.

Nothing I have to do is really that fun. The business side of photography is not the most fun. I am not an accountant and unfortunately the business is in need of an accountant right now. I am no accountant, but we are just going to have to make it work. As Tim Gunn would say, "make it work."

At least I have some photo shoots this week to make it fun. Yesterday I took some pictures of Amy. Two Amy's in one week. Wow!

Amy is a local realtor and was looking for a new photo for her business card. That's where I come in. This is my favorite.

If you need a realtor call Amy at the local Keller Williams office.

As for yesterdays Amy, she is attending A&M next year. I thought a few of you might like to know that. Actually, I though Abby might like to know.

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

The Beautiful Cara

Just a few more of Cara's senior pictures.

Say a little prayer for Cara's mom, Lisa. She was working out last week and broke her ankle. She is having surgery this morning. I have been trying to tell ya'll that working out is BAD!

Do I Really Have A Blog?

You probably think I forgot I had a blog. I promise I didn't forget that I had a blog, it has just been crazy busy around here.

After spending a month in Lubbock I came home to piles of laundry, pictures, paperwork and my husband. I have been trying to catch up on everything. The first thing I had to tackle was the laundry and taxes. Those are two of my least favorite things! I don't ever feel like I am caught up on laundry, but at least the taxes are with the accountant and not on my desk anymore.

I promise I will catch you up on everything going on around the nest, but it is going to be out of order. First lets talk about some basketball.

James has started helping out with Devin's select team. You may remember that Devin lives next door to us (not really anymore, but that is another story for another time.) James has always coached basketball in the Spring and Summer, but since we moved here he hadn't found a team yet.

He has been working with the Rangers for a couple of months and he loves it. I also enjoy being around the boys and basketball. I forgot how much drama there is in high school. The boys always have some drama to share.

Last week they played in an international tournament in Austin. There were teams from Japan, Chile and Norway, as well as teams from all over Texas. I got some pictures of the boys on Thursday and Friday.

The boys ended up winning 4 straight games to win the Championship. Congratulations Rangers!
