Jaime and I went to Lubbock over the weekend for my 10 year high school reunion. I graduated from Lubbock High School in 1999. Believe me we partied like it was 1999.
It was a fun filled weekend. It may not have been really fun for Jaime, but he was a trooper. To go to multiple events where you don't know anyone can't be that much fun. Jaime was great about it and let me talk lots and we stayed as long as I wanted. He really is the sweetest!
Friday night we had a BBQ. There were about 20 people there. Not much has changed since high school. Everyone hung out with the same crowd as they did in high school. I mingled. I am a social butterfly and hung out with a bunch of different crowds in high school. It was fun to see some familiar faces and catch up.
Saturday morning there was a tour of the high school. Let me just give you a little background information. I loved high school. I thought it was super fun, but it was like pulling teeth to get me to go. Just ask my parents. I liked the socialization part not really the class part. I decided I didn't really like going to the school 10 years ago why should I go now.
I keep hearing I had to see the library. Supposedly the library has moved and is amazing. People, I didn't know where the library was when I was there. I doubt seeing where the library is now will make a difference to me. I skipped the tour and instead went to get a massage with Jaime. We totally made the right decision!
Saturday night was the big night. We had dinner at the Lubbock Women's Club. It was a nice dinner and there was a larger crowd. More chatting for me and more boredom for Jaime. After a nice dinner we headed to Cafe J's for some more chatting.
It is so interesting to hear what everyone is doing. We have some very talented people in our class. We have an actor living in New York and doing shows on Broadway. We have a really amazing DJ moving to the Bronx. We have a ton of doctors and some lawyers. It was fun to see what people have done with their lives so far.
I reconnected with some friends that I had lost touch with over the years. Maybe now we will do a better job of staying in touch. It was a fun weekend and I owe a huge thanks to my husband. He was wonderful and never complained. There were times that I was bored and complained, but not him. He is a keeper.

Reunions are so interesting! It is always fun to see the people you love, see what people are doing, and then leave. Your comments about the library completely cracked me up!!!! Glad you had a fun weekend!
I just have to say "Thanks" for finding flattering pictures of me and putting them up! I know they're hard to find, and I appreciate the effort! :)
I had a good time chatting with you, and I agree that Jaime was a trouper!
