Soccer, The Other Football

Yesterday evening Jaime and I went to a soccer game.  Three kids from the neighborhood were playing a make-up soccer game and it was a perfect evening to see some 6 and 7 year-olds play some soccer.  It was a beautiful evening and lots of fun.

The only bad part of the evening is our team lost really bad.  The other team had what seems to be some team members that were about 10 years-old.  That didn't really work out well for our team.  We still had fun and after the game was over we headed for Pizza.

I love this picture of Lisa and her daughter, Cara.  Cara is a junior in high school and helping coach the soccer team.  She also plays soccer and is really good.  Cara is great and lots of fun.  Below is a picture of Cara.  She wears different color socks everyday.  Her socks never match.  It makes me laugh!

Another great thing about this soccer game is we got to go cheer on some kids we really like at 6 p.m. instead of Saturday morning at 8 a.m.  I love these kids, but 8 a.m. on Saturday is really early.

I would totally sign Caroline up for a soccer team if they would play at 6 p.m. rather than 8 a.m. Maybe she could join your team?

I guess that's the upside of living in a small town. Our teams use to play on Saturday morning. Then a bunch of parents got upset because they couldn't use their season football tickets because of their kids soccer games. Thus the parents complained enough that they moved the league to the weekend!! Yea for us!!
